Restaurant Design: Stretching Boundaries


Please join Culintro, Hospitality Design (HD) magazine and Sam Tell in a conversation on restaurant design trends. This discussion will examine “what’s hot” in today’s restaurant scene, focusing on innovations in interiors, kitchens and the concept of pop-ups.

Stacy Shoemaker Rauen of  Hospitality Design (HD) magazine will moderate the conversation between Chef John Fraser and designer Elle Kunnos de Voss on their collaboration for What Happens When, one of the most exciting temporary restaurants of 2011!

The Metrics have completed hospitality projects in the US, Asia and Europe of which some of the most notable include Denmarks first House of Literature in Copenhagen, ℅ The Maidstone Boutique Hotel in East Hampton, Bar Artisanal Restaurant & Bar in Tribeca and the Park Lane Residence Hotel in Beijing.
Fraser’s latest project, What Happens When, is 9 month temporary restaurant installation where Fraser will explore the definition of what a restaurant can be, both as a dining experience and a creative process.  The space in SoHo will change thematically including the design, uniforms, cuisine, soundscape and lighting, every 30 days.
